Codes help you to connect the remote to the device. The codes recognize the device and enable the setup in the remote database that connects to the device functions. The Hawaiian Telcom universal remote has some specific codes to identify the device, and you must use them when you program the Hawaiian Telecom remote.
How To Setup Hawaiian Telcom Universal Remote
You can program the Hawaiian Telcom remote in three ways manual, auto-code search, and alternative methods. I will discuss all methods in this post.
1). Manual Method: first, note down the code you must enter on the remote during the remote programming.
- Turn on the device you wish to control with the Hawaiian universal remote. For example, in my case, I will take TV.
- Insert new batteries into the remote and keep the remote in front of the device sensor.
- Press the TV button once on the remote.
- After this, press the “SETUP” button on the remote until the TV button flashes twice.
- Now, enter the code using the remote keypad.
- After entering the code using the remote, press the “POWER” button on the remote until the device turns off.
- If the TV doesn’t turn off, repeat the exact programming instructions from step 3 and use a different code.
2). Auto-Code Search Method: You don’t need to enter a code in this Method. The codes in the remote database automatically search for a valid code for the selected device. If you can’t find the remote code for your device or fail to enter a code on the remote in the manual Method, this auto-code search method will help you program the remote.
- Turn on the device you wish to pair with the Hawaiian remote control.
- Point the remote controller at the device sensor to send strong signals.
- Press the device “TV” button on the remote.
- After that, press and hold the “OK” button on the remote until the device turns off.
- Release the “OK” button immediately when the device gets turned off.
Finally, test the remote buttons to control the device. If the device responds to the remote command, the remote is programmed successfully.

Fixing Guide For Hawaiian Telcom Remote Not Working
1. There are several reasons why the Hawaiian remote is not working. I will tell you a few fixes to resolve your remote problem.
2. First, Insert new batteries into the remote. Old batteries can’t send strong signals to the device. After this, check the remote control of the device. Suppose the device works as the expected problem is resolved. If not, go to the next fix.
3. correctly program the remote. Incorrect programming can’t control the device. We added two methods to program the remote, which you try to reprogram your remote.
